Bought Ezmix 3, not to make life easier, but quickly try A/B flavors. Definitely not my main tool of choice, but fun plugin to experiment or get ideas from.

Question about expansion “packs”. Are they just presets of existing tools, controls of which are or the most part hidden, or packs have separate internal plugins modeled from scratch?

Thanks.

The same goes for all current Toontrack plug-ins, btw.

I posted on this here, I hope it helps, but it is Windows only: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/considering-ezmix2but-can-window-be-resized-ui-is-very-small-and-hard-to-read/

I really hope this helps some of you, cheers!

David

EZMix seems to have extremely low CPU load weight compared to numerous other plugs I own.

I run EZMix3 on multiple tracks in StudioOne Pro version 7 with absolutdely zero bump in latency. I also run SuperiorDrums3, plus multiple instances of HelixNative, & numerous vsti synths, all at the same time.

I upgraded to a new i9 pc with 64GB RAM this past summer, & my guitars & bass run into a PreSonus HD8 interface. My tracking latency registers at a miniscule & audibly indistinguishable 2.1ms., even with all of the above plugins running.

Now if I try to run ‘forward thinking’ mixing & mastering plugs like iZotope Nectar or Neutron or Ozone…then the latency jumps up dramatically, by 40 to 80 ms each, or more. Those are the kind of mixing plugs you have to refrain from utilizing until ALL tracking is completed.

I’m very interested in purchasing EZMix 3, particularly for bass guitar amp sounds. However, I tried tracking with it at a friend’s house and the latency it adds with most presents made it difficult to track with.

Is there a zero latency setting that allows you to track with a slightly diminished sound prior to the mixing stage?

https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/ezmix3-automatic-loudness-matching/#post-3281183 <![CDATA[EZMix3: automatic loudness matching? Tonal balance?]]> https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/ezmix3-automatic-loudness-matching/#post-3281183 Mon, 19 Aug 2024 10:18:41 +0000 Neb Will EZMix3 (now or eventually) have automatic loudness matching of input and output signal, and across preset chains? I hate that in EZMix2 each preset makes the signal louder (and each to a different extent) so you can’t easily do fair A/B comparisons without manually adjusting each one. It’s hard to assess a preset or chain without being fooled by the ‘louder is better’ perception of your brain.

Also, EZMix2 doesn’t really do anything to make your mixes more robust and translatable on different devices/environments. For instance, you might love what a ‘deep kick drum’ preset does in your monitors/headphones in your room, but find out later that it is too overbearing in your car or other devices. Does EZMix3 have any new features which address this, to help us to get better tonal balance and more robust translation across devices/environments?

Thanks.

EDIT: Someone can still answer these questions if they wish, but I got the upgrade anyway. First impression is that Version3 is great. Well done Toontrack!

I can say I have bought plenty of bundle ezmix and midi pack bundles in the past and there was no time limitation on those deals then. Toontrack has been pretty consistent with most all of their sales products for me and I own over 100 products by them. I hope this helps,

Jeff
